Men's Breakfast
The first Saturday of every month the men of
St. Paul's gather for "Men's Breakfast." This informal breakfast gives the
men a chance to fellowship and enjoy a meal.
Women's Fellowship
The mission of St. Paul's Moravian
Women's Fellowship is to invite and encourage all women to be a part of a
Christian unity, which is organized to nurture, support, share, learn and
give service to the church family and community and to strive to empower
ourselves and others through Christ's love and direction.
Youth Ministry
St. Paul's is currently developing a new
Youth Ministry program. Check back for more details and be on the look out
for information about this summers Vacation Bible School.
Music
St. Paul's has an active music ministry
supported by a volunteer choir of 12 regular members. From September through
early June the choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and
sings at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service. During the summer, soloists
provide special music for the 10 a.m. service.
Those involved in the music ministry are
grateful for the opportunity to praise God through the beauty of sacred
music. We are eager to increase the size of the choir and would welcome
additional members. Interested singers may contact organist and choir
director Barbara Masters at the church number -- 301-627-4200.
Food Bank
The Marlboro Churches' Food Bank is a ministry begun
in 1982 as a source of help to the needy persons in our community. We
primarily give food and serve in the name of Jesus, not in the name of any
one denomination.
The Food Bank distributes food out of Trinity
Episcopal Church Parish Hall at 14519 Church Street, Upper Marlboro, MD
20772, on the second Saturday of each month, 7:00-9:00 a.m. The church
phone number is 301-627-2636.
The food is collected from the various churches in
Upper Marlboro. Our representative, who is Ina Bolton (301-868-1733),
then sees that the donations are brought to Trinity Parish Hall so they can
be sorted, packed and distributed.
Prayer and Healing Service
St. Paul's offers a monthly service of Prayer
and Healing, led by Pastor John Lane. It meets regularly on the first Friday of
each month in the sanctuary at St. Paul's. The Prayer and healing service
consists of singing and praise, teaching and prayer for physical and emotional
healing. Traditionally, about half of the attendees are from St. Paul's and the
other half from other churches in the area.
