| ST. PAUL’S BANNER COMMITTEE A banner not only enhances the beauty of its surroundings, but it can also motivate and inspire. A banner can also call attention to specific subjects of the church, for example, a liturgy, stewardship campaign, World Communion Sunday, etc. The St. Paul’s Banner Committee was formed in January 2000, and at present there are eight women on the committee and a few men who willingly lend a hand when they are needed. The committee has made banners for each season of the church year including 2 banners each for Easter and Christmas, as well as our all-season masterpiece, The Creation Banner. Other Committee Activities · Stitched curtains for the alcoves in the Fellowship Hall · Made and decorated an ordination stole for the Reverend Brian Dixon · Developed and printed calendars for the year 2007 with a photo of one of our banners for each month The Banner Committee is a dedicated and joyful group. We work hard to create banners that are spiritually pleasing and also enjoy the fellowship of our close personal group. If you are interested in joining the Banner Committee, you may contact any member of the Committee for details. Suggestions, comments and donations are always gratefully accepted. To become a Banner Booster please make checks payable to St. Paul’s Banner Boosters, and mail them to the church office or place them in the offering plate. The internet has been a source for recent banner designs. To honor those who have dared to share, via the internet, we would like to be of assistance to anyone or any church that might be interested in making their own banners. Please, contact the church office at 301-627-4200. |
